The project is part of a continuous research and observation of improvisation in Mexico, which is a recurrent phenomena in our culture. From the streets to domestic and commercial spaces, random objects are brought together in peculiar combinations . In many of these cases, the stones, sturdy and heavy , become a key character to the construction of these intriguing settings, where objects are juxtaposed in what could seem an arbitrary planning. The project aims to reinterpret the circumstantial nature of these settings, by methodically recreating the incidental into domestic objects.
The tables are supported by a set of soap-stones, which have been hand-carved and prepared to fit and support the structure, providing the necessary weight in order to make the object stand.
